Who are we?

We are sisters, Nancy and Julia Glen.  We have a children’s book series called “City Adventures.”  We have woven themes of friendship and inclusion into local activities and historical facts.  The characters are all different animals encouraging diversity and each book has a character of special needs.  

We feel the colorful illustrations and playful storylines will engage all ages.  Important discussions will arise around acceptance, how to interact with others and personal safety.  Our books are available as a soft copy as well as an ebook.

We have been busy sharing our City Adventure series through the holiday season.  Our goal is to get the word out about how our stories can be used in the general and special education classrooms.  We have added a free curriculum page for each book on our website.  It has been fun to Zoom into classrooms for author visits and book clubs.  

As we write our books, we learn about cool places to visit as well as the history.  We are enjoying the process of learning as much as we can about each city and sharing that information with you.  In the back of each book is a check list of all the places mentioned in the book.  This is to help you to have your own City Adventure. 

Many families have reached out and asked, “What about activities near me?”  I promise, we are working at getting to a community near you very soon.
